Nielsen's Pastries

My friend mentioned this bakery to me so I decided I had to check it out. First, I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with vegetarian soup. I did not have high expectations on the food since I hadn't heard too much about it, but it turned out that the prices were fairly low, and the food was delicious. Next, we chose two pastries. One was a potato pastry and I can't remember what the other one was called, but I do know that it was very tasty! I wasn't even able to get pictures of them because I was too excited to dig in and eat. The staff that was working that day was also very kind and welcoming. This danish bakery makes all pastries fresh, and one can tell by how flavorful they are.  I'm going back for lunch and a pastry sometime soon!

The Five Spot

I've been here a few times now for brunch and each time I've enjoyed the food. This time around I stopped by on Valentine's day morning. We were pleased to find that they had everything we wanted. Tim decided to get eggs and hash browns, while my roommate and I devoured the waffles. It's the kind of place that you go to when you really want some morning comfort food... and it might also be the place to get breakfast after a night of drinking. However, on this occasion we really needed a place to stop that wasn't too far from home. It turned out to be a pretty good Valentine's Day morning for all of us.
