Anniversary Getaway

Just one year ago Brian and I spent our first winter together walking through the snowy streets of Leavenworth. Though there have been challenges with a long distance relationship, I would definitely say that there has been a lot more good than bad. That being said, we manage to work out everything and be in constant travel mode. Not only were we able to go to Greece in October, but then we made anniversary plans to take the Victoria Clipper and stay in the cutest B&B. (Plus we always manage to see each other on a monthly basis, whether traveling elsewhere or not). I've been so grateful to have these experiences and cannot wait to update you all on our future plans!

In the meantime here are some highlights to the amazing time we had in Victoria. The mansion we stayed at was called Fairholme Manor, which was a little distance of a walk to the main town, but definitely worth it. The complimentary breakfast is what they were known for and we LOVED it. We also had tea at the Empress hotel, which came with a three tier pastries and sandwich tray (what more could you ask for?). Then lastly, we checked out the Buchart Gardens which had a beautiful light display. There were also other fun things to do, such as check out a gingerbread house display, walk through other small gardens, and visit a small castle walking distance from our hotel. It turned out to be the perfect little get away for our anniversary.
