Somehow I always have all, or most, of the ingredients to make this recipe. I am a huggee fan of avocado, I use them for sandwiches, dip, tacos, enchiladas, pretty much anything tastes good with it. This recipe is simple and easy to make up in a matter of minutes, which is why sometimes it substitutes as my lunch. There are many different variations and things you can add to guacamole, but this is my personal recipe since these are the items I tend to stock around the house most often.
Ingredients:
1-1 1/2 avocados
5 cherry tomatoes, sliced or diced
1/4-1/2 red onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
Garlic salt
1/4 lemon or lime
Bag of tortilla chips
Directions:
Mash the avocados in a bowl. Add tomatoes, onion, and garlic. Squeeze in lemon or lime juice and sprinkle garlic salt to taste. Serve with tortilla chips.
*The picture above doesn't include onions (I didn't have any), but I loove adding onions to my guac.
**Any onion will work, but most recipes call for red onions because they are more mild and sweeter than others
